Event Details:
Experience the the wonders of the natural world at East Tilbury’s Big Lunch, featuring a performance of Grow.
Join Highly Sprung Theatre on an unforgettable adventure, travel up to the skies, dive into the oceans, and journey through lush jungles – all while learning about the vital role we all play in caring for our planet. With tactile, sustainably made props children will experience the magic of nature and theatre up close.
Plus, become a very important part of circus act, Edges, where the audience are needed as ballast for Phoebe Knight’s Chinese Pole show! This performance has been specially created for Thurrock’s big lunches, through Start Thurrock’s partnership with Lavrak Circus, as part of the Freshly Baked commissioning programme.
There will also be a live DJ set, additional creative activities from Kinetika, Thurrock Museum and Thurrock Libraries, plus physical activities, live entertainment, sports, games and stalls.
The East Tilbury Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Impulse Leisure, Active Essex and Thurrock CVS. This event is supported by Friends of Gobions Park.
Entry to this event and the majority of activities are free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.
Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.
