Purfleet people! We need you to be a part of something special…

Something exciting is coming to Purfleet-on-Thames – and you could be right at the heart of it.

Theatre experts Teatro Vivo have joined forces with local residents to create The Myths of the Marshes – a completely unique outdoor theatre show filled with fascinating stories from the area’s rich history and folklore, taking place on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 June.

This interactive, family-friendly performance follows the descendant of Dracula author Bram Stoker on a quest for inspiration for her next novel. Along the way, the audience will help uncover strange and wonderful tales – from ghostly dancers to rebellious sailors, singing queens and more. But beware – a mysterious stranger could throw the whole journey off course…

And here’s where you come in.

Teatro Vivo is looking for people of all ages to get involved in the show. Whether you fancy acting, dancing, singing, songwriting, or working behind the scenes, there’s a place for you.

Rehearsals will take place on Saturdays throughout May and June at St Stephen’s Church, London Road. No experience required – just a desire to get stuck in!

Interested, or know someone who might be?

Get in touch with Bid at bid@teatrovivo.co.uk to find out more or sign up. You can find out more here.

Unlocking the creativity of young people!

We’re delighted to be helping to bring Kids Business to Thurrock this summer!

Along with the incredible Hunt & Darton, children between the ages of 6 and 14 will be creating their own shop in Thurrock and turning it into whatever their imagination can come up with at a series of special workshops in June.

The store will then be open on the weekend of Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 where it will be staffed entirely by the children who have come up with the ideas for it…

It might be haircuts from an eight-year-old, prices in compliments, not cash, or a café where you can doodle on anything – even the staff!

If this is something your youngsters want to get involved with, check out more details here!
