Event details
Celebratory, bold, and unapologetically pink… Kat Ball and Danielle Summers reach new heights (literally and figuratively) in Hype Sister! at the Corringham Big Lunch, specially created for Thurrock’s big lunches, through Start Thurrock’s partnership with Lavrak Circus, as part of the Freshly Baked commissioning programme. A falling-out, a repair, and a reunion told through wheelchair-based acrobatics, performed to 90s pop.
From the 90s, travel further back in time as 80s nostalgia meets Chitty Chitty Bang Bang! Experience RIDE by ZoieLogic, an athletic, high-octane dance theatre show where the car has a mind of its own. Three blokes, one 1980s Ford Orion, and a journey like no other.
There will be a live DJ set, additional creative activities from Kinetika, Thurrock Museum and Thurrock Libraries. Plus Qigong workshops, physical activities, live entertainment, sports, games and stalls.
Corringham Big Lunch is being organised in partnership by Start Thurrock, Thurrock Council, Thurrock CVS, Impulse Leisure and Active Essex and is supported by the Corringham, Fobbing & Homesteads Forum
Entry to this event and the majority of activities, like bouncy castles, face painting and entertainment, remain completely free and we encourage you to come along with a picnic to share with your family and friends.
Some additional activities may incur a small cost, and refreshments such as tea, coffee, ice creams and cakes will be available to buy on the day.
